We're here to let you know that you're not alone (although sometimes you probably wish you were!)
 
Would you like to get out of the house?  Would you like to make some new friends?  Would you like to hear about topics relevant to you as a woman and a mom?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then MOPS is for you!
 
At Portage MOPS, you'll find encouragement as both a woman and a mother.  You'll meet other woman who have the same needs you do.  You'll take "time off" from your mothering duties to relax, renew, and learn.
 


 

WELCOME TO PORTAGE MOPS!

 

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  Now don't let the name confuse you, we are here to serve mothers with children ages birth to 6 years and moms-to-be.  We are a ministry of Grace Bible Church and part of MOPS International.  MOPS exists to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.

 

 Encourage:  To inspire with courage & hope

 

 Equip:  To supply with needed resources

 

 Develop:  To bring out all the possibilities

 

 Every:  Every one and every kind

 

 Mother of Preschoolers:  Mother of children from infancy thru kindergarten

 

 Realize:  To accomplish, to be aware of, to understand

 

 Potential:  Something that can develop or come about

 

 Woman, Mother and Leader:  The three distinct roles of a mother of preschoolers

 

 In the name of Jesus Christ:  To the honor of Jesus and for his purposes
